Event Description:

Raised in Houston, Molly Ivins is a nationally syndicated political columnist who says that with her emphasis on the hilarious aspects of government, she never has to write fiction. She started in the complaint department at the Houston Chronicle, became a police reporter for the Minneapolis Tribune, and returned to Texas as co-editor of the Texas Observer. She has been a reporter for the The New York Times, a columnist for the late Dallas Times-Herald, and her freelance work has appeared in publications such as Esquire, Harper’s, The Atlantic, The Nation, as well as on National Public Radio. She’s published six bestsellers including Bushwhacked: Life in George W. Bush’s America and Who Let the Dogs in? Incredible Political Animals I Have known.
