Event Description:

Targeted to activists, political club members and those newly involved in the political process, this workshop focuses on quality of life issues such as environment, transportation, and education important to Democratic and independent voters in suburban and urban areas campaigns.

To win elections in our region, Democrats need to communicate about issues important to Democrats and a segment of "independent" voters. We can't just shout at George W. Bush and complain about Republicans, we need to speak out about issues that a majority of voters care about.

This event features briefings from the top three survey research experts in the Houston region, discussions about key quality of life issues, a city candidate/volunteer fair to connect activists and volunteers with candidates and comments from candidates about these issues.

This event has been postponed because of weather conditions. Please take care as Hurricane Rita approaches. We will inform you of the new date for the protest as soon as possible.
