Resolutions & info for Mar. 4 precinct conventions -
Fellow Progressive Democrats,
This year, more voters than ever before plan to attend their precinct
conventions. In addition to caucusing for their chosen presidential
candidate, voters can introduce resolutions for the other convention
attendees to vote on. Resolutions help voters shape a party platform
that support issues people care about. Resolutions can also inform
people about important issues.
Here is a link to some printable, ready-to-submit resolutions on the
most important issues facing Americans today. Please go to
http://paa-tx.org and click on "Resolutions for your March 4 Precinct
Convention" to learn more about the resolution and precinct
convention process.
If you are ready to choose your resolutions, just go to
http://paa-tx.org/resolutions and click on the titles you are
interested in, and read the resolution. If you want to print out a
suitably formatted copy, click on the file ending in "pdf" in the
attachment box at the bottom of the page for each individual
resolution.
If you decide you like them all, use the link to a zip file on
http://paa-tx.org/resolutions that will download all the files for
you at once, and then you can print them out. Take at least three
copies of each resolution that you want to submit to your precinct
convention.
Please forward this note to others who may be interested in helping
to promote progressive issues, and who want to help build a more
progressive Democratic Party in Texas.
