The PPC held their 2007 Annual Meeting on March 10 in San Antonio in conjunction with the Progressive Action Alliance (PAA) Conference. The PPC conducted business in the morning, and then the PAC commenced in the afternoon with a number of speakers discussing subjects of interests to progressives. The highlight of the combined meeting/conference was a keynote address delivered by presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.

Meeting was called to order by Stan Merriman at 12pm.

Adoption of agenda

• David Van Os motioned to adopt the agenda, seconded , motion carried

Keynote Address

• Ronnie Dugger was this year's guest speaker confronting / discussing many of the issues we are facing in this country today. A DVD of his talk will be available soon.

Chair's Award - Remarks

• David Van Os was presented with the Chair's Shoe Leather award - "To be retained by honoree for one year in honor of valiant service to our reform work".

Adoption of Minutes from January Meeting

• Ray Driskol made a motion to accept minutes from January 2005 PPC meeting, seconded, motion carried

Treasurer's Report

• Motion was made to wave treasury report due to time constraints. Mr. Fran motioned and Kris Graham seconded, motion carried

Minutes From the March 6, 2004 Progressive Populist Caucus Annual General Meeting

The Progressive Populist Caucus of the Texas Democratic Party met for the Annual General Meeting on March 6, 2004, at approximately 12:00 pm. The meeting was held at Threadgill’s Restaurant on Riverside Drive in Austin, Texas. This meeting is required by our Standing Rules, adopted on 11/23/02. 45 people were in attendance, including approximately 20 voting members.

MINUTES

The Progressive Populist Caucus of the Texas Democratic Party met for its Annual General meeting on January 15th. Quorum was declared at 1:50 pm. Meeting was held at the TGIF restaurant at the Radisson Hotel in Austin on Caesar Chavez and Congress Ave. This meeting is required by our Standing Rules adopted November 23, 2002.
