The PPC held their 2007 Annual Meeting on March 10 in San Antonio in conjunction with the Progressive Action Alliance (PAA) Conference. The PPC conducted business in the morning, and then the PAC commenced in the afternoon with a number of speakers discussing subjects of interests to progressives. The highlight of the combined meeting/conference was a keynote address delivered by presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.

Call to order
Meeting was called to order at 3:45pm, Saturday, April 28, 2007 by Charlie Urbina Jones. Sheril Smith confirmed that a quorum had been reached.

Treasurer’s Report

Henry Knight indicated that the current balance in the PPC account was $847.99. He explained that a refund was given due to the fact that the PPC did not have to pay for Dennis Kucinich’s return flight at the annual meeting. Henry Knight brought up the issue of the importance of maintaining an awareness of donation sources. Data needs to be collected, especially on donations via website. John Behrman suggested that reports (including Treasurer’s Report) be submitted for informational purposes so they wouldn’t have to be formally adopted. No vote was taken.
