Web Development Roadmap


Since this is our first foray into a website that will provide dynamic content and potentially offers the ability for members to login to create / add / edit content, we agreed to take this in stages. Below is the development roadmap, where we are today and where we hope to go.
  1. Phase 1
    Port content from old PPC website, new PPC website goes live. 
  2. Phase 2 - in progress
    Mailing lists have been setup for all the committees, and the Houston region. I expect Central Texas (Austin) and Corpus region to be setup next. 
  3. Phase 3
    Online member signup
  4. Phase 4
    Get member data entered into our database. Status is that the data we have needs to be verified and additional data collected. The membership form has been modified quite a bit to collect other information we feel will be important to our efforts. For the existing members, we will need to conduct some phone banking to collect this information.
  5. Phase 5 - this is where we are today
    Regional chairs have access to their own regional data and can use it to conduct marketing / coordinating PPC members within the respective areas.
  6. Phase 6
    Engage our PPC members online, providing access to private areas. At this point, we do not anticipate providing a means for our members to provide content, however, this may change at any time based on the needs/ requests of our members and what value that would bring to the PPC as an organization.
