Event Description:

Friends,

The Texas Democratic Party Progressive Populist Caucus (PPC) will hold it's annual meeting in February. Food is being provided, so please RSVP to: Stan Merriman at Stan.

The PPC is a grass-roots orgnization that supports the "big D" in Democrat.  We are progressive populists working successfully to energize and rebuild the Texas Democratic Party.

Critical to the Party's success is our ability to reach out to the ideals and principals that tell us that the best government is that which is focused on serving people.  We can do better in Texas.

Education, the environment, health-care, quality jobs-work, social justice, voting, trade, transportation, immigration, are just a few areas in need of improvement and reform.

On Feb. 26th -
We offer you the legendary Ronnie Dugger as our keynoter speaker.

He'll speak close to noon on "Winning Back America, One Precinct At A Time".   Ronnie was the FIRST "indymedia" as Editor of the Texas Observer magazine founded 50 years ago.  It still causes tremors in the hall of the legislature when it stalks for "the story".  Ronnie went on to mentor Mollie Ivins and Jim Hightower, also past editors of the T.O. He wrote at least two major political books on Reagan and LBJ and has written for about every important magazine worth reading political tracts in. He also co-founded the Alliance for Democracy which still is playing a key role in uncovering electoral fraud and working for voting reform. Your life will change hearing him on Feb. 26.

The PPC will also honor David Van Os, and elect a new Statewide Steering Committee.

Admission is free with a voluntary donation if you are so moved to help defray Ronnie's expenses.

Come on the 26th and learn more about the PPC and how you can help.
