CGS Democrats     
Area Democrats are invited to the next meeting of the Colleyville, Grapevine, Southlake Democrats. The CGS Democrats meet the second Thursday of each month at different locations around our three cities. Arrive at 6:30pm to socialize and eat dinner or at 7:00pm to meet. Meet with other local Democrats, listen to special guests speakers, and learn how to participate in the poltical process. We have a lot of fun networking and learning how to activate our voters. Stonewall Democrats of Dallas will have an endorsement screening on Tuesday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m., at the Resource Center, located at 2701 Reagan St., Dallas, TX 75219. Scheduled for that night are the campaigns of Barack Obama for President; State Rep. Rafael Anchia; State Rep. Allen Vaught; State Rep. Yvonne Davis; Thomas Love - candidate for the 24th Congressional District; Don Chae - candidate for 5th District Court of Appeals, Place 3; and Gracie Lewis - candidate for Criminal District Judge, Court No. 3. We would like to invite you to join us in showing all of Plano that Democrats are united, proud, and patriotic! We will line up at 9:00 AM at Plano Sr. High School parking lot. All Vets are invited to sit on the DPCC 'float'. There will be a number of candidate's vehicles as well. Walkers will help to pass out information about the Party and our great candidates. TDWCC, Democratic Mens Club, Stonewall, Young Democrats, TDBC, Hispanic Democrats, Asian American Democrats and more are ALL invited. Let us know if we may count on your support! Joins us for an After Parade gathering at a local restaurant.

Mid Cities Democrats hosts a 4th of July Party on Lake Grapevine to Watch the Fireworks. The boat leaves at 6pm and returns at 10pm or when the fireworks are over. All passengers should meet at the waiting room beginning at 5:30pm for sign in. Boarding begins at 5:45pm. Ticket prices are $30 per adult ($15 for children under 12), or $25 for Mid-Cities Democrats members. Limited to 50 passengers. You can pay online at(www.actblue.com/page/party_barge ). TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS TRIP CANCELLED BY BOAT OPERATOR DUE TO WEATHER. MCD reserves the right to reschedule trip due to predicted inclement weather. Rescheduling will not qualify for refunds. The boat has 2 levels (lower level is shaded). There is a water slide and two swim decks. Swimming, diving and related watersports are available, so bring your swimsuit!! We'll drop anchor after dark for the best view of 4th of July fireworks on the lake. Hot dogs, chips & drinks will be available for a small fee or bring your own picnic dinner. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the 4th in style with your family and friends. Questions? Come see our float in a long parade of patriotically decorated floats. Be the first to get your "Democratic Fan", which not only identifies you as a Democrat, but will keep you cool all during the parade activities. There is no better place than The Woodlands to celebrate 4th of July This year will be action packed from start to finish. Celebrating 4th of July in The Woodlands promises something for everyone!

The Hays County Dems and San Marcos Area Democrats invite all to attend a special pre-Independence Day presentation, a 25 minute original play that answers George W. Bush's comment about the Constitution being "just a ----- piece of paper." This presentation will feature Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Abigail Adams, and George Washington; and a fife and drum corps. Thanks to Lou McCreary and his team of thespians for creating and presenting this event, and to the Cheatham Street Warehouse for giving them a place to perform! There is no charge for this event - All ages are welcome; arrive early for a good seat. Bring a friend or the whole family. We will have a Voter Registration Table on hand as well as volunteer sign in sheets for the fall election!
